After You Dessert Cafe @ Platinum Mall in Bangkok [Thailand]

After You Dessert Cafe is no stranger to many Singaporeans and back when there were only a few outlets; it's common to find a snaking, long queue! With about 34 branches across Thailand now, it's much easier to find seats nowadays.

We found one branch on the ground level of Platinum Mall in Bangkok and given the hot, sunny day, and the lack of a queue, I couldn't resist the temptation to step in and have a bowl of their signature mango sticky rice kakigori!

Tables were filled, except for one, and we immediately grabbed the opportunity! As you can see, the space wasn't big and I guess their focus was more on takeaways. There was even a takeaway counter connected to the shop.

Dispensers for free, cold tea! It was thirst quenching, not sweet and had a nice yet light flowery aroma. I remember having quite a few servings.

Order and pay at the counter.
And then, it's a waiting game.

Mango Sticky Rice Kakigori - this took about 20 minutes! Despite the wait, Alex commented that the impressive display well deserved our patience. An art by itself, those who haven't had this before would have assumed this looked fake!

Whatever the case, I was so impressed with this dessert that I didn't even bother trying the rest! The powdery ice melted instantly upon touch with the heat from our mouths and I absolutely loved the yummilicious combination of coconut milk infused sticky rice and sweet mango cubes!

After more than two years of border closure, this visit felt exceptionally memorable and it didn't take us long to devour every single bit! p.s. As Alex wasn't big on dessert and I am trying not to gain too much calories; hence, we went with this baby version.
