Homescapes - Level 13,000 #homescape13000

Around three months ago, I started playing
Homescapes on my mobile phone again and once again, I was addicted and within this short span, I gained levels from 10,000 till 13,000; that's an average of about 30 levels a day!

Frankly, I am unable to associate any relevance to level 13,000 with this board with two sub levels. Well, let's proceed to clear the five red tiles and 35 biscuits first.

It did seem a bit long drawn and with just 25 moves, I was just wondering if Homescapes decides to do away their usual, easy to play, thousand-level. It's usually a giveaway, even for someone with not much homescapes-gaming experience.

Okay, at least there is the acronym of Homescapes for this last sub level. Guess no one would activate the candy balls individually; let's blast them out together!

Nice woah; can you determine the 13,000 from the above board? 13 on top with the paper planes at the bottom representing three zeros! At first glance, however, I only noticed 13.

Maybe due to the backend setting for the level, I got quite a lot of candy balls and that did help me to clear the game, using all my remaining moves.

Always happy too see a happy Austin. As the highest level now is about 13251, I guess it would be a while before I get to level 14,000. Maybe it's time to give this game a rest so that I can concentrate on my blogging, and netflix / disney plus.

Homescapes - Level 10,000 #homescape10000

I was obsessed with Homescapes and could play with it for hours before work, after work, and before sleep! For reasons unbeknownst to me, I stopped playing for about half a year until I was on the long coach ride to Petaling Jaya!

The addiction came back and before I knew it, I am barging the psychological 10,000 level! It's a must to document this although the max level now is nearing almost 13,000! God, I miss out so much on its developments. p.s. strangely, homescapes is now display in Chinese on my phone.

The ten was noticeable but what were those biscuits and nuts on the ground? Was there something brewing along the line? Let's remove the blue kettles to activate the blue vacuums!

Noticed the three zeros at the bottom?! Clearing the deck was an ease with so many bombs even though the aim was to green up all the spaces.

Sub level was the one I didn't quite get with the design. Looks like the folder icon and I am guessing the heart balloons were symbols of celebration, once the ribbons were untied.

Again, a breeze to clear. I think most, if not all, the thousand level games are not that difficult and are meant to be like a bonus for players.

Just happy I managed to get my star, and to continue my addiction! p.s. I do hope to stop it as I am missing out on many things to read and videos to watch! double p.s. and playing the game in Chinese just make it so difficult for me.

Homescapes - Level 9,000 #homescapes9000

I love to blog about my milestones and I don't have many to speak of, honestly. One of the few things that I can comfortably claim to have some sort of an achievement is via the mobile game, homescapes

This time, it shall be level 9,000! I did talk about level 7,000 previously and conveniently forgot about level 8,000; by the time I did remember I should printscreen, the level was cleared. :(

Excitement always gets me whenever I reach the "thousand" milestone as the developer would likely come out with a nice, unique design to commemorate the occasion. When I saw the above, the immediate reaction was "90"? Where are the two missing zeros?!

Nonetheless, quite easy to clear this with the colour bombs! Main goal was to clear 30 rotating compasses on the map and it's obvious there will be a page 2 since I still had an outstanding of 26 after clearing everything. p.s. which means you better don't waste too much moves here.

Ah.... so that's where the missing 0s were.
Quite disappointing with the design this time.

Given my veteran experience in playing homescapes, it didn't take me long to clear the entire map! I had to admit; it took me two tries as I didn't know there was a part two to the map and happily spent too many moves on part one.

Perfect, of course.
Not that it can be anything else, except try again.

Homescapes - Level 7,000 #homescape7000

During circuit breaker last year, I crossed
level 4,000 on Homescapes; my interest hasn't waned and I passed level 7,000 last month! That's about 10 levels a day which isn't that hard a feat with experience, and a bit of luck.

I am always excited whenever it's the thousandth level as the gameplay design would likely be a bit different; although not necessarily more difficult. The sight that met me brought forth some confusion; is that a helicopter?

With the double color bombs side by side, it's easy to cross the first section of the game!

Second part was also a breeze with the plane booster, which was activated just when I was clearing the game. Once again, design featured the HS words; said to be an abbreviation of Homescapes.

Now, the last part baffled me and I need to prick my creativity a bit more. Is that a house with a question mark next to it? Sometimes I wonder if game designers would include some special things; it could be a signal for support for a political cause or even personal. Maybe the designer for level 7000 is thinking of buying a house?

Whatever the case, it's a clear-all.

70 coins into my pocket! As you can see, I usually hoard up my stars and use them only when necessary; likely because I need power-ups to clear a complicated level or have sufficient time for free gameplay to up the levels.

Homescapes - Level 4,000 #homescape4000

My long weekend is seldom spent at home but with the government's 'circuit breaker' (CB) in place; i decided to be a good citizen and stay mainly at home over the recent Good Friday long weekend. My main activity was completing the levels for the addictive homescapes!

Less than six months ago, i mentioned the milestone i crossed when i reached Level 2000. Now, i have just crossed Level 4000 which means on average, i cleared about 10 levels each day. It's not that impossible on weekdays as i could only play the game when i am taking the train to and fro work but on weekends, i can sometimes clear up to 50 levels with all the free game-play that can stretch for hours!

I love how the developers always design the milestone level; in this case, Level 4000 featured a heart shaped which i presume is their game for the gamers. It's 2-board level though and usually, the milestone levels are not difficult to clear.

You still need a bit of strategy but that shouldn't be much of a problem since you have come so far. If you have relied heavily on power-ups, this is the level where they are not necessary at all.

Second board indicates 4000 although i am still unsure what the H5 or HS means. A google search seems to point it towards HS which means HomeScapes.

Use the bombs to your advantages!

Just one last piece to complete the level. To be honest, i didn't complete the level at the first instance. It took me about three tries as i am not a great strategist and only started to take a closer look when i was so near yet so far.

Homescapes - Another Game That Took Away So Much of My Personal Time

It's unimaginable that as i was about to cross my big four o next year, i can still be so obsessed with gaming; specifically mobile games starting from Angry Birds to Candy Crush and now, Homescapes.

Gameplay is relatively similar to Candy Crush; where you move tiles in order to match them up. I actually don't remember when i started playing but it sure is addictive!

I can't imagine that i have reached my level 2,000 milestone! To be honest, i
play the game every single day (except when i was overseas) and it would be hours and hours of play; resulting in me sleeping late and having irregular meals.

There're the usual power-ups and combos which may or may not help depending on the goals you have to achieve in order to clear a level. Strategy is required although luck plays an important part too!

Sounds like Candy Crush right? This is when i explained the differences; Homescapes has a story line which makes it even more appealing for people like me who enjoy games like The Sims!

Stars you gain from completing a level would be used to advance the life of this former butler known as Austin who has moved back to live with his parents and is adamant to keep his ancestral home. Hence, loads of renovations and you sure need plenty of stars to know what's going to happen next.

Other characters would appear in the story and they bring with them more challenges and "work". In the above case, Austin's childhood friend came to visit and they collaborated to build something for a woodcraft festival.

As with Candy Crush, you have five lives which would have been sufficient for me to give up and do other stuff (i.e. like blogging which i have been procrastinating about).

But, there are many ways to stay on the game (for example, clearing 9 levels to get a cake that bears gifts of free power ups) with free gameplay that can stretch from a mere 30 minutes to over 6 hours! That's exhausting especially when the free time was given just before bedtime!
