猪肉粉 is a Chinese term that's seldom heard of in Singapore and is actually more common across the causeway. However, the words just meant pork noodles and a popular Malaysian chain had set up shop in Singapore, with its second branch near me at Northpoint City Mall!
Called OMEGA Pork Noodle; the first question that came to mind would be the rationale for the use of omega as its brand name. Turned out the pork they used was said to be high in Omega-3 fatty acids when pork was typically known being low in omega 3.
Nevertheless, this new branch had generated plenty of interest among Yishunites, and the queue was so long! Thankfully, my mom and elder sister was already in queue and by the time I arrived, we were just third in line!
Aside from their signature pork noodles, beverage guzzlers would be happy to know that with just S$3.90 per person (with a meal), you can get unlimited drinks from the above, including fruit tea, honey lemon, lemongrass, lime jasmine green tea, ginger tea, barley, red dates tea, chrysanthemum ginseng herbal tea.
I am focused on food only!

Omega Signature Pork Noodle Dry - Three steps to ordering; choosing the kind of soup, choice of meat combo and selection of noodles. I went with dry tossed noodles, with meat patty + meat slices + meat balls (A2), and mee pok for my noodles.
There were actually nine types of noodles to choose, including mee sua, wanton noodle, plus options for some mixes. My mee pok was fine; with a dash of spiciness and just a tad dry, which a scoopful of soup would help to moisturize and enhance the slurpiness.
Stars of the show would be the soup and the pork ingredients, said to be high in omega 3 fatty acids. On the soup - there was just a slight whiff of porkiness swirling between my taste buds yet delicious with touches of flavourful garlic bits! Cabbage soaked in the broth and texture was perfect with a soft crunchiness!
In summary, the pork was indeed in another class; the sliced meat was tender, not hard and overly cooked like many other sliced pork I had. Meat patty and meatballs were as nice, not overly flavoured with a desirable tinge of natural sweetness; good enough for me to even consider buying them if I ever have steamboat at home!

First experience of 猪肉粉 and I am sold! While I enjoyed what I ordered, I wouldn't be keen to queue up for too long. Should the queue be manageable and I am craving for noodles in Yishun, this would be one of the top few choices!
