Mót Hội An - Lemongrass Herbal Drink @ The UNESCO World Heritage Site in Vietnam

While researching for highly reviewed places in Hoi An on Google Map, I chanced upon Mót Hội An, which commanded a 4.6 review score from over a thousand reviewers!

Almost every review was talking about a herbal drink and given the heat we were feeling while walking around The UNESCO World Heritage Site, we thought it would be beneficial to escape from the heat, even if it was just momentarily.

Seating area was limited and interior was decorated nicely with little knick knacks, including small things that can be purchased, like bamboo straws at just 5,000 dong!

Star and best seller at Mót Hội An was this item called Mot Tea, which is also known as the Lemongrass Herbal Drink, and dispensed in front of the store.

Such beautiful display right? No wonder so many tourists would buy the drink and sit on the chair outside for that perfect photograph in this ancient town.

Mot Tea - simple yet elegant "plating" for a drink that cost just 18,000 dong (S$1). Served in crushed ice, this was thirst quenching in the insanely hot weather, although the taste was more herbal than lemongrass. I would have described it as a not as sweet lime tea!

Sweet Tofu - I wouldn't be satisfied with a drink! Let's have dessert too! Soft and smooth tofu that was topped with grass jelly and drenched with sweet sauce that had strips of ginger, giving hints of ginger soup vibes!

The ground raw ginger gave a punch of natural spiciness that would have inferred an elevated nutritional level from people like my mom. I am fine with that inferment, just that I didn't enjoy biting into the raw ginger as it absolutely twisted my expression!
