With an interesting name, i guess many people who visited Asiatique Riverfront Night Market in Bangkok would probably remember Jack Lives Here; a hole in the wall, open-air pub that faces the Chao Phraya River.
I remember it well despite not touching alcohol back in 2016. However, i had an even deeper impression of Jack Lives Here in my recent trip to the City of Angels. What i thought to be a whole pig / lamb at the grill turned to be something entirely different.
It's a whole crocodile, with feet and tail removed, that's totally skinned except for the head. Many foreign visitors were noticeably shocked and i think quite a number of people found the display repulsive yet intriguing; like me!
Nope, i didn't give it a try; for one, i am not an exotic meat lover unless someone dares me (with a huge advantage / benefit) and secondly; it's 300 baht for a serving of grilled crocodile meat. With that same price, i could have 30 sticks of the delicious tender grilled pork near Patpong Night Market!
