Guess it's too late to wish everyone a Merry Christmas but i am still in time to express my wishes that all of you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2019!
As with past years, i would generate a post on the Christmas presents i received from friends and colleagues. Like a kid, i am always excited to receive wrapped up gifts as we honestly don't know what to expect and there's the 'surprise' element that could elicit three general responses; like, dislike and neutral.
With the possibility that the receiver does not like what you purchased, i find it extremely stressful to buy presents for others unless the person specifically tells me what he/she wants. Personally, i treasure a good meal over presents anytime as i have already reached the age where i can afford most things that i want and those that are too expensive; i wouldn't want my friends to spend their money to buy for me too.
For me, it's the thought that counts and while i love all the presents (including but not limited to a piggy bank, board game for alcoholics, pillow mist etc), do let me know if you prefer to have a meal instead next Christmas which could include a secret Santa segment!
