Dinner @ Alishan Gou Hotel [Chiayi, Taiwan]

Dinner for day three was an unexciting affair as we were on a mountain with limited choices and the easiest and most convenient for the tour company was to have it right within the hotel's resident restaurant! 

Setup when we arrived; steamboat it shall be! Up in the mountains, the temperature was much cooler and I am not going to reject steamboat with such optimal conditions.

As expected, the dishes started to load once everyone had arrived and you get your standard vegetables, meat, fish etc. p.s. we were informed not to expected too much on the taste spectrum; with limited resources, main objective of eating was just to fill our tummy.

Food was frankly quite alright; exceeding the incredibly low expectation we had. The prawns were fresh and easily the most popular item. The preserved radish omelette was on the saltier side and required rice to balance it out.  

Like the lunch we had at O'mafe Tsou Restaurant earlier that day, there was 三粉圆, which was made with basil seeds. However, this time round, it was served warm and in my honest opinion, tasted even better in the cool highland temperature!
