Compared to the The Wonderfall and Dreamscape, the enchanted forest at the transit area of Changi International Airport Terminal 2 has been around since 2016, and back then, it was labelled as the airport's "first themed garden with interactive and immersive elements".
At 390 square meters, I recalled it was an eye-opener, like an indoor oasis, pulsating with the sounds of nature, differentiating itself from the bustle of the commercial shops surrounding the garden.
There was even a lookout area above the koi pond, although its function was more for photo-taking since there's nothing extraordinary to look beyond; the fishes in the pond would be the highlight. Best lookout for me would be taking the escalator to the upper level, where you get a pretty good view of the garden.
Key feature for the enchanted garden was the placement of these two gigantic bouquets of flowers and each holds "300 freshly-cut flowers that will be changed seasonally". Two other smaller bouquets were placed at the perimeter of the garden.
The "bouquets" were made of mosaic and stained glass, which simmer and radiate from a distance away. Only issue was that it can be quite hard to take photos with the bouquets, given their size.
I know what flower species this is! It is anthurium and this specific flower should be the flamingo lily, easily recognized by their heart shaped leaves! I was educated well from my visit to Hua Lu Flower Home in Taiwan!
Quite a number of years have passed since the inception of the Enchanted Garden; now, it's more LED images that wow us. Don't believe me? Check out my separate postings on The Wonderfall and Dreamscape.
