I think i might have over-ordered for my dinner at Krabi Walking Street Night Market but it's hard to control when more and more stalls opened for business and some of their offerings really do appeal to me; for example, the above that sells Thai omelette rice!
From 25 baht, you can get plain rice with omelette and that's quite similar to what i paid for at pier 21 food court in Bangkok. The stall at pier 21 had since closed down and i am missing it so much! Would this be better or at least, comparable?
This tray of long, crispy spring rolls, placed at eye level, was tempting and i thought it wouldn't harm to just get one as company for my plain rice omelette. Vegetarian and chicken options were available and i got the former for, well, health reason.
Decent portion with an alluring aroma; i couldn't wait to taste the food!
Vegetarian Spring Roll - i was disappointed to find strands glass noodles / vermicelli within and assumed the worst that it would be bland. Turned out the sweet sauce accompanying the spring roll was a life saver and it's so crispy!
Plain Rice Omelette with Vegetables - for slightly more than S$1.00, the lady boss was generous with the vegetables. Taste wise, it's nothing like the one from pier 21 and i do believe i can whip up a similar tasting one at home. And why did she have to give so much rice?! *person on carbo-restricted diet complaining here*
