Now, I have watched enough tik tok, facebook, instagram reels / shorts to notice that gigantic lamb skewers in the streets of China are like a must-have for any tourists!
So when we were on a free and easy walk along Qinghefang Ancient Street in Hangzhou, my eyes were immediately drawn to the above shop! The words "super big" in Chinese were right in my face, making it hard for me to ignore.
And I can't help sniffing in the delicious smelling aroma of grilled lamb skewers on full display outside the shop! Damn, it would have felt sacrilegious for me to just to ignore when they were just right in front of me! Doesn't help that I do enjoy lamb and mutton.... But I am never one to not share fats and calories! So, here's my dad who shall assist me to devour this humongous stick of lamb skewer, with help from my sister and Alex too!
Surprisingly not much of a gamey taste and as usual, the fatty parts were delightful, adding sinful juiciness that oozed so much flavour to the meat! We had a great time chatting with the seller too who hailed from inner magnolia, the birthplace of lamb skewers, and obviously, she knows her meat.
