Our private boat slowly traversed along the river flanked with mangroves on both sides and our guide, cum skipper, told us we would be reaching crocodile cave!
First instinct; got crocodiles?! Looking at the boat we were in; i honestly doubt we would be sufficiently protected. Thankfully, we were assured numerous times that there's no crocodile. *relieved*
Getting closer to the entrance of the cave. As the tide was high, there's no way for us to pass through but since it's part of the itinerary and we still had plenty of time; i think it's good to just take a look from the outside.
Can't see much although i did see light coming from the other end. If i am canoeing (like the one we did at Hong Island at Phang Nga Bay), there's a chance for me to go right in.
A better shot of the interior; to be frank, i am seldom impressed by limestone caves as they are pretty common in Asia and i have been to quite a number. The most memorable has to be the Silver Cave at guangxi province in China.
There's a queue for the boats to line up and wait for their turn to take pictures from the entrance of the crocodile cave! The only problem with this arrangement is the fumes from the exhaust!
Reason why it's called the crocodile cave; it did look like a half-submerged croc! According to our guide, the resemblance is even more obvious when the tide is low.
