Hour-Long Head, Shoulder, Foot Massage @ 12 Hoang Lien in Sapa [Vietnam]

It was cold and I honestly just wanted to go back to the hotel, take a hot shower and submerge myself underneath the thick, fluffy blanket! 

But life has other plans for us; we strolled past a normal looking massage parlour (they all kind of looked the same in Sapa) and something on the menu caught our attention; free foot bath for 10 minutes! 

How to resist right?!

So we stepped right in.

Ahhhh.... a hot soak can be so relaxing on a cold day, and it was in a traditional wooden tub! This was supposed to be some herbal water based on a recipe from the Dao tribe. I don't care, it's bliss comfort for my cold feet. 

Of course the hour-long head, shoulder and foot massage was good too! And it helped that the atmosphere within the parlour was extremely cheerful and friendly with lots of laughter, despite the language barrier; translate app helped! Furthermore, it's a family friendly business and the 25-year old lady boss even had two of her kids in the shop!
