Thaizen Wellness & Spa @ Penang in Malaysia

Massage is one activity I increasingly rely on as I age, even though for an impatient person, I did find it a wasteful of precious time! Nevertheless, when we spotted a massage parlour right next to St. Giles Wembley in Penang, we decided to walk in, only to find out it was fully booked for the day!

We made an appointment for the next day and finally got to enjoy the service of my much awaited Thai massage in the early afternoon! Starting with a foot scrub with sea salt! 

Afternoon wasn't peak and there were just a few customers. The massage wasn't bad but it wasn't the kind of Thai massages that I was more accustomed to; in my opinion, it felt more than Javanese massage. 

Ending with a hot cup of ginger tea! The service in general was pretty good but when we shared our feedback to the boss (we presume); she got a bit defensive which got us scratching our heads since we didn't say it was bad; just different.
