As promised, i did try the black carrot cake from Nam Heng restaurant although it was a month later from my last post on their white carrot cake!
At first glance, it looked dark enough which normally means the use of a sufficient amount of black sweet sauce; the most important determinant for black carrot cake (as the name obviously shows)!
Some of us prefer big pieces of "chopped up" carrot cake whereas my preference is with smaller-sized kibbles. My bad as i should have specially asked for more aggressive "chopping"!
Taste-wise, it was above average and pretty forgettable! This is despite the generous use of eggs and the addition of four prawns (which is seriously not necessary).
Guess i have to stick to the unforgettable kaya toast whenever i am in Nam Heng.
