With a stomach filled with lobsters, I knew I shouldn't indulge in any more food for the sake of my health! It was more curiosity that enticed me to take a closer look as the product, which I assumed to be youtiao, was oddly shaped!
Furthermore, the English words in front of the mobile stall clearly stated Banana Fried Cake! I love banana cake but it was not in the form of cake that I was familiar with. I was intrigued and asked for the pricing in case it was not worth the value.
Very worth as it cost just 20,000 dong for each piece.
That's like only about S$1.05!
Now, this was definitely more a fried banana than a cake! Serving size didn't disappoint given that it's as long as our typical youtian, albeit a slightly flattened version. Crust was crispy with soft insides; for S$1.05, I am not expecting king rajah banana. Taste wise, the mushy banana filling was sweet enough although not the ultra ripe kind. Nevertheless, good enough as an after meal dessert!
