My small eyes were just seeking for a stall where i can order a small snack to fill my half-empty tummy and were about to give the satay stall a miss when they micro focused on the words "black pepper satay"!
I had to order it simply to try out the unique, black pepper version. A minimum order of 10 sticks was required and i guess you don't get any prize for the kind of meat i requested for; of course it has to be pork!
The black parts were mainly the black pepper marinade and i must say the taste was one of a kind that added a punch to my other "normal" satay. For those who are worried it might be too sweet, i can assure you that they were not. Texture was also on the hard side. Overall, i was quite happy except for one small issue; the peanut curry gravy was too watery!
