Yong Kee Famous Fish Ball Noodles [榮记驰名鱼圆面] @ ABC Market [Bukit Merah, Behind IKEA]

I am extremely picky when it comes to eating fish ball noodles; more often than not, i usually stick with my usual stall and only venture to new grounds upon recommendation from close friends.

There were the rare occasions when i didn't know what to eat and a stall happened to be right in front of you with no queue yet came plastered with accolades and media recommendations. That's the exact scenario i faced a few weeks ago in ABC market! 

A simple bowl of noodles with four fishballs and two humongous meat balls, which by the way appeared more like oversized fish balls than the meat balls i am accustomed to. 

Nothing to complain about the noodles although i didn't quite enjoy the vinegarish flavour that seemed to be out of place in that concoction of tomato and chilli sauce. 

Fish balls wise, they were filled with softness and bounciness; the type i would buy as an ingredient for a steamboat dinner at home!  Meat balls were nothing to scream about with a fishy aftertaste that made me wonder once again if they were just oversized fish balls!
