I recall patronizing Morganfield's at Star Vista quite a while back for a gathering but i didn't take any photographs then due to my terrible low-light photography skill. However, i am back again; this time for lunch and seated next to a full glass panel with strong sunlight streaming in!
Choosing what to eat is always a tedious chore and since Morganfield's tagline is the home of the sticky bones; i guess i must give its wood-smoked pork ribs a try, especially when there's a value set lunch between 11 am and 3 pm on weekdays.
The price of the stick bones is the same under the value set but you get a free soup of the day and a drink (mine was iced cold lemonade)! For soup, it was pork goulash which tasted quite good with strings of almost disintegrated pork swimming in a savoury, tomato-based broth.
My lite slab sticky bones basted with its signature hickory bbq sauce! The display wasn't much honestly although i thought it was sufficiently enough to whet my appetite!
It might not seem much at first glance, until i noticed the thickness of the ribs! And i guess the large amount of fries, being carbohydrate heavy, would fill up my tummy. Speaking of the fries, i really like them and i don't know why; they tasted a bit like sweet potatoes.
Now, on the ribs. It was on the fatty side (no complaint about that even though my health conscious friends might not take it too kindly) and while i found the taste to be just right; it just didn't wow me like the ribs from Naughty Nuri's (Phuket) did. Nevertheless, i think it's good enough for me to consider their Morgan's Rib Sampl3r in the future!
