Tra Vu Tea House within the Spiritual Zone @ Sun World Bà Nà Hills in Da Nang [Vietnam]

The Day Trip to Sun World Ba Na Hills back in 2024 was so rushed; I missed out on many things! One of the things I told myself I would return to, would be the Tra Vu Tea House within the Spiritual Zone.

Despite located right next to the French Village with its many medieval-style buildings, the tea house managed to maintain an aura of zen peacefulness that has a strange calming effect on us.

To a certain extent, due to its elevation and contrasting architecture, it's almost like peering down on French Village as if they were a model toy village and we were the "gods" enjoying the scenes we 'built'.

Maybe that's how the people at the bell tower look at us. Anyway, there was the alfresco area where you can enjoy the surroundings, although it can be quite hot in summer.

Indoors would be much cooler even though you are required to remove your shoes, and there are limited chairs. As seen from the photographs above, you may have to sit cross-legged and that can be challenging for those with elders.

Mom was, thankfully, still okay.

If needed, however, she would revert to her ah lian style.
Behaving as if she were a female gangster.

As with any tea house, my purpose was to get tea so that I can stay in the tea house! Problem was that the weather was a tad too hot for my liking, and you know what taste best in hot weather? Cold drinks!

However, it's weird not to have tea, in a tea house...

So, we went with three different cups of tea; if memory serves me well, they should be the eight treasure imperial palace tea, the lotus and dried longan tea and red jujube tea.

Honestly, all were good, with deep infusion that would have made drinking them even more memorable should the weather be much cooler! Well, I shall calm the soul to cool the body first, so that I can better appreciate the hot tea.

There were also a separate selection on snacks and desserts that customers can purchase! Being a snacker who happens to have a mouth that is always itchy; I had to order.

Sweet soup with glutinous rice balls (45,000 dong) tasted a bit like bubur cha cha from Singapore, and the rice balls had filling! I thought they would be the plain version.

Sesame ball doughnut (30,000 dong) was similar to the deep fried sesame balls we have in Singapore. Price was higher yet the serving size was huge! Taste was alright (dough was thicker, generous bean paste filling) and could have been better if it was freshly taken out from the hot, frying oil.

Hollow doughnut (20,000 dong) was like our local Ham Chim Peng; never quite like it even in Singapore and less so here since it wasn't even lukewarm.

Red bean soup in a cup; not to my liking.
To be fair, I very much prefer green bean soup.

Listening to the melodious music while sipping your tea and eating your snacks!
