Jiguang Stinky Tofu (繼光臭豆腐) @ Taichung City in Taiwan

A review rating score of 4.3 from almost 600 reviewers on Google Maps and so near to our hotel (Tea Way Hotel was just about 300 meters away) at Taichung City; I knew I had to pay it a visit! 

Ample seating at about 8.00 pm! It was my first stinky tofu for the day even though it didn't stop me from having another serving of stinky tofu at Yizhong Night Market after an hour or two. 

Despite having a name called Jiguang Stinky Tofu, there were other dishes on the menu, like spicy duck blood, pork liver soup, cold noodles, seafood hotpot. I am focused; stinky tofu, and only stinky tofu. 

Only available in one size, each plate came with five pieces of stinky tofu that surprisingly didn't quite smell as bad as I thought they would be, until you pop one into your mouth! 

Featuring a crispy thin shell with soft juiciness within; the taste was similar to Mini Bite Stinky Tofu (迷你一口臭豆腐) @ Yizhong Night Market but Mini Bite was better tasting. p.s. the minced garlic in the middle of each piece was enticing and perfectly complemented the stinky tofu! 

Pickled cabbage was more like Korean kimchi; more sour than sweet and spicier! Pretty good even though I would prefer the sweeter, crunchier pickled cabbage instead.
