Mr Avocado Exotic Fruit Juice - One Word: Yummilicious @ Alexandra Village Hawker Centre [Opposite Queensway Shopping Centre]

Avocado is known for so many health benefits; it has often been touted as the world's healthiest food. Sadly, it is also said to be relatively unpalatable and hence, doesn't appear to be used much as an ingredient for many cuisines.

But mention avocado juice to those who have visited Indonesia and you could likely derive from their faces that they must have really enjoyed the Es Apokat! Actually right here in Singapore, there is a hawker centre well known for serving the yummy drink.

Alexandra Village food centre - honestly, i had tried the avocado juice but i left disappointed as it was simply not comparable to what i had in Bintan island. Thinking back, it was rather an unfair judgment as there were so many stalls and i might have ordered from possibly the worst of the lot.

This time, i walked two rounds before deciding on Mr Avocado. I didn't attempt to check online although i must say the display of accolades and awards probably sealed the deal.

Boy was i pleased with this avocado juice from Mr Avocado! The consistency was thick, smooth and creamy without that disgusting tartness i experienced previously. That nutty freshness of the fruit coupled with that delicious sweetness brought a satisfying smile to my face!

Picky Alex took a huge gulp from my glass, finishing half, and immediately ordered a second one all for himself. Bloody asshole!

Halloween Horror Nights - Imagination Using The Setup in the Day Time @ Universal Studios Singapore

For a person who revels in the exciting world of the great unknown, i have never been thrilled with the many nightly activities for Halloween. Why?

Because they are popularly held at a time when the lighting is not favourable for photographs; at least not for an amateurish photographer like myself!

In order to take a piece of that bloody horror action, i can only seek solace in the props set up on the grounds of Universal Studios Singapore, and use my vivid imagination.

Let's begin with some adrenaline-charged activity; attack of the vampires!!!

Not to worry; the bright sunlight would deter any vampire from making any violent move towards fun-loving visitors. I can't say the same when night falls.

Those blood thirsty vampires would likely lurk behind these tombstones at night and get ready to pounce on suspecting victims! The miscreants' satisfaction can only be achieved by bloodcurdling screams hitting at least a hundred decibels!

As a family oriented theme park, i am unsure on the suitability for young children to be exposed to the scary Halloween props. Instead of nice memory, the kid could probably have nightmares!

I am alright though; personally, i would have enjoyed the idea of a haunted theme park! Sigh, it is such a pity that not many people share the same sentiment....

A crying statue of Claudia Dunst! Would you want to bet that there would definitely be a person dressed like her roaming the theme park at night?

Next up; the 366th Convention of Curses at the aptly located Ancient Egypt zone!

As the gloomy gathering for all evil witches and cunning sorcerers, you might be able to get your hands on the badly needed love potion or that sinister voodoo doll to inflict unbearable physical pain on your nemesis!

Maybe there would be someone who can foretell your fortunes for the next few years. Regardless of the advice, do take it with a pinch of salt! I, for one, hate to have my fortunes read.

Rituals would likely be conducted to help powerless humans get what they want.

Sacrifices might be required. Always remember that life is fair; you want something, you have to exchange it with another thing of an equal value.

Question is - are you sure you have gotten a better deal?

Songs of Death where the maiden of opera continued to chill your spine with her voice while recollecting the bloody massacre that destroyed her entire troupe.

House No 13 - the haunted house that could bear similar paranormal activities to infamous dwellings like the Amityville. There was even a haunted forest!

There appeared to be no other prop for Halloween beyond the Lost World. I thought it was quite appropriate as the Far Far Away zone is and should remain as the cute fairy tale world in the innocent eyes of children.

Now is the piece of news to excite everyone! There would be a new attraction at the Far Far Away Zone; rumour is that it would be based on the highly skilled Kung Fu Panda! Keep all ten fingers crossed!!

And let's pray and hope that the Battlestar Galattica rollercoasters would be up and running before my annual pass expires!

On a more serious tone, are you prepared to be tormented and frightened out of your wits by the evil spirits still lingering on mother gaia for the 3rd Halloween Horror Nights? Check out the following website for more information;

Enchanted Airways @ Universal Studios Singapore [USS]

Now that Battlestar Galattica is down once again for an indefinite period of time, i guess it's time to re-focus our attention on another roller-coaster ride; the Enchanted Airways.

Before we board the vessel, it's necessary to purchase tickets from the booth where our beloved gingerbread man has found a new job as the ticketing officer!

Tsk tsk tsk - such decadent lifestyle!

Several destinations were identified but as you could see from the board, we would be flying to Shrek's Swamp! Not that it matters since it was a permanent destination for everyone lining up to take the flight.

That's sad as i am as interested to pay a visit to places like the Cyclops Caverns! For all you know, there would be a new attraction exploring these unknown yet fascinating tourist spots.

Unlike human flights, fluids like magic potions are allowed on board! But, unicorns?!?! How are you even able to squeeze them into the overhead compartments?!

You know what's the best thing? There wasn't even any compartment above my head!!

Bet i don't need to tell everyone that the vessel in question would be none other than the majestic Dragon, also known as the romantic interest of Donkey, the talkative sidekick of Shrek!

How the union manages to create such adorable hybrids elude me!

Reaching an elevation of thirteen meters, this three hundred and fifty meters track took around sixty six seconds to make one round. Back to the same spot; not to Shrek's Swamp!

The ride was exciting although definitely not on the same level as Battlestar Galattica, Transformers 4D or even the Mummy ride. The best comparison would be the rollercoaster ride in Genting Highland outdoor theme park.

Other pictures for your reference.

As the speed averages around forty six kilometers an hour, many riders would not have noticed the many artifacts along the ride. For example, the disturbing fact that it was merely a day since the last air crash!

Maybe it was a matter of incorrect manpower assignment; the big bad wolf was the air traffic controller!

That brick tower was known as the cheese tower, residence of the three blind mice. As with any fairy tale, it's a mystery why they chose to live in a tower where there would be a greater risk to fall to their death.

Our beloved three little pigs who were still working to build their houses. Guess the older two never learn their lesson from the little brother.

By the way, i am still anticipating the grand arrival of the all new A380 air coach from the Enchanted Airways. It has already been quite a few years since the announcement.
