Day Four (aka Last Day) of My Four-Night Ocean Getaway Cruise on Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas #royalcaribbeancruise

Detailed Postings for the Day

Officially last day onboard Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas since we were expected to disembark at about 7.00 to 8.00 am the next morning, and I didn't want to waste my time; hence, shall work out a sweat first!

Jogging along the track on deck 15; the primary issue with the track is that it's non-sheltered although you do have the option to use the treadmill in the indoor fitness center.

Hm.... don't think I can jog so fast.
My usual pace is about 6 minutes per kilometer.

The purple wristband that had been with me for four days, even when I am taking a shower! Its purpose was to reflect your vaccination status although I don't think it would be in use anymore since Royal Caribbean had announced "effective for sailings 21 November 2021 forward, all adults, above 12 years old (13+), must be vaccinated at time of sailing".

Beautiful sight of the expansive sea in front of me.

Balcony of my stateroom didn't have an unobstructed view and even though it's a private balcony; sunbathing in naked would mean a free show for others!

After a shower following the jog, it's time for breakfast at Windjammer Buffet restaurant. Food was repetitive but at least I had my favorites; e.g. plain congee with fried garlic, fried onions, pork floss.

Omelette lacked one thing; kimball thai chilli sauce!

Missed the amazing performance by violinist Nadiia Voronkova and we decided to register for the slot another time. Unfortunately, each person is only allowed to catch the show once.

We arrived too early for the Family Fun Bingo and decided to patronize The Café@Two70. As breakfast was just an hour ago, the only thing I could stomach was the cup of cut fruits!

Two70 - with a capacity for over 500 persons, the space wasn't unfamiliar to us as our first show, Nadiia Voronkova, featuring the Cast of Starwater, was held in the same place.

Only difference was the vast transformation between day and night. In the daytime, the screens covering the full length windows were drawn, letting in light that brightened up the space.

Nope, I didn't win anything.

Wanted to enquire more at the Next Cruise counter but there were already people there. In a nutshell, Next Cruise is best for those who intend to book for another cruise with Royal Caribbean. More on that later.

Cutting across the casino; and discreetly took a picture.

Going through a plush looking passageway to my next destination.
My friend wasn't interested to join me in the activity.

Towel folding demonstration at the Music Hall. Honestly, there were tons of activities available and you just need to check the daily cruise planner or your app for the list.

Back to the stateroom and found a cute bear holding a gun! This was a nice coincidence since I just went through the towel folding demonstration.

p.s. they didn't teach me how to fold the same bear though.

Information about the disembarkation the next morning! Our estimated departure timing would be at 7.30am, which means we would have to wake up earlier for breakfast.

Checking out the cruise ship again; many of the photos had been taken and shared in my numerous postings for the trip I made in August 2021.

Photos of the Seaplex - said to be "the largest indoor sports space at sea", most people would remember it as the place for bumper cars. I didn't manage to partake in the activity; no loss though since I am terrible in driving such a car.

Looks like there are more stuff on level two and I guess I would find out on my cruise two weeks later. I am praying hard the cruise wouldn't be cancelled as the two cruises scheduled this week have been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Grand finale art auction!
Since I am not into arts, I guess this would likely bore me.

However, I am quite interested in the pig artifact; if it is a piggy bank, this would be a nice addition to my collection although my budget for piggy banks is low. Anything more than S$50 is a no-no.

Received a letter outside our stateroom and it was an invitation to the grand finale art auction that I chanced upon earlier! Too bad.

Setting up my DJI OSMO Pocket 2 for time-lapsed videos again!
You can check out the combined video here

Digital wayfinder! As mentioned before, there's only so many places on a cruise ship and if you are ever lost, just ask for assistance from any passerby.

Weather didn't look too promising!

Other side seemed alright though; I am worried as I had scheduled a session for a trial at flowrider, a surf simulator on board the cruise ship. Bad weather means automatic cancellation!

A bistro within the Solarium; I suspected it could be closed due to the reduced passenger load but I just google and a fellow blogger did go in for breakfast; he / she complained the selection was limited.

Visited, again, the open balcony on both sides of the Solarium. Those who intended to book the staterooms near the Solarium should note the lack of privacy.

Dark clouds loomed in the distant, with an area inundated by rain.

A celebratory lunch at Windjammer! Maybe because it was the last lunch for the cruise, there were more dishes, and a much wider variety of desserts, including ice cream!

Back to mindless exploration again. There were branded shops but I have never been very interested in branded stuff although I heard from some friends that the deals can be extremely attractive.

Decided to enquire more at the Next Cruise counter! So, you can get up to $600 per credit per room if you book a Royal Caribbean cruise at this counter; the more expensive room gets more credit. If I were to book a junior suite, I can only secure S$100 credit.

Wandered into the Solarium again!

Got the cocktail of the day; the Margarita Azul, found a table and spent around an hour in the air-conditioned Solarium, while I played Homescapes. So relaxing.

Taking a dip in the whirlpool at the indoor pool. In part thanks to the stormy weather outdoors, soaking in warm water with jets of water massaging the body was pure bliss!

Persons with disabilities can also enjoy the activity.

Rain had stopped, leaving the grounds wet with many passengers preferring to stay indoors or at least sheltered, like those underneath the North Star® observation capsule.

Bumper cars game in session!

It was cold enough for me to put on a sweater! Temperature was low but the killer is never the temperature; it's the strong wind. Reminder to self; remember to bring along a jacket on my cruise later this month!

Even though the rain had stopped, the scheduled session for the trial surfing was already over. It's still open for private surfing lesson though, which cost more than S$400 an hour..... money I could use for a good makan....

Is this the back or front of ship?
Hint: just look at the trail.

Dinner at the Chic Restaurant. Since it's our last night, overindulgence would be excused and with that in mind, I had two appetizers, two mains and three desserts!

Notice anything wrong about the flag?

Cruise ship at night with the huge cloud of disturbing emissions from the chimney. There have been talks and articles of the cruise ships' impact on the environment and yes, I am ashamed of my involvement....

Travel companion decided to have a cocktail too!

For a last night, the area was eerily deserted! Guess many people were aiming for an early night given the morning departure.

Last two photos; a picture with the giraffe artwork in the lift and finally getting to the very last drop of wine from the bottle of Brown Brothers Cienna that I brought along for the cruise!
