Compared to the others, the only gal in the Gang of Four is the one who always craves for desserts, cakes and pastries in Singapore! Unlike me, her type of sweet stuff must also look good (preferably kawaii and in pink).
Naomi Kitchen popped out in a conversation at Drips Bakery and i knew it would just be a matter of time of going down to the shop when Ms Tan hinted quite a number of times via email afterwards!
To be frank, I was expecting a Japanese style cafe decked with sweet Japanese looking waitresses and desserts served in fine bone china adorned with pink little flowers.
My bad as it was already mentioned somewhere that Naomi offers only counter sales and takeaways.
The lack of any seating didn't stop SaNeVa from ordering two big boxes of fruit rolls to be shared among the four of us! And to be fair, she chose the types that are either "must try" or "best selling".
Naomi special mixed fruit roll - sponge cake wrapped around a generous creamilicious filling with bits of strawberry, grape, orange and peach!
And the one above is strawberry mango pudding roll. Guess no explanation is required on what the fillings are since the name is pretty obvious.
We ate them (in fact, all the fruit rolls) using our hands right beside the not-very-clean Rochor river. This undesirable location under the hot weather, coupled with the messy use of hands, has no doubt marred my review, unfortunately.
However, i did recollect the soft, fluffy sponge, the fine powdery sugar and the lightly scented cream.

The birthday rolls have such adorable designs! Anyway, i would likely be back again for their signature fruit tarts and give their rolls yet another try.
