I confess.
This would not be a proper review as this virgin visit to Komala Vilas was more than six months ago (blame it on procrastination) and i didn't even take note of what dishes we had!
Thankfully, pictures on the menu (snapped a few pictures of them) did help to relive the memory to a certain extent and i can still vaguely remember what was good and what was not.
Curry, as we understand, is part and parcel of India's food culture and almost everything has to go with curry! They may taste the same at first touch but go in a bit deeper and you would be surprised how intricately complicated they can be!
Vadai Set - some sort of a spiced doughnut although nothing like the sweet desserts from Krispy Kreme that i love to indulged in.
No idea what the above is. However, the pillow-like buns were really like blown up balloons with a pretty crusty texture.
Naans! These oven-baked breads go extremely well with curry and i personally like mine with cheese or garlic. To put it bluntly, naans are like the healthier version of roti pratas in Indian cuisine.
Onion Uthappam! Described as a thicker version of dosai, this was surprisingly delicious and i could not resist tearing piece after piece after piece! *it was only later i realised uthappam is a fat dosai*
For a vegetarian meal, the carbohydrate intake was really quite astonishing! Nonetheless, we (Lockie Boy, Wendy Xiao Qie, Gang of Four minus Alex) did have a fulfilling meal catching up with one another!

As above. Kindly note that six months have lapsed since then and according to the government latest statistics, Singapore's inflation rate has spiked in the last quarter.
