Lunch (Pad Thai and Sukiyaki) at Food Village in Central Village Outlet Mall @ Bangkok [Thailand]

Before going all out for outlet shopping at Central Village Outlet Mall, it's important to replenish our energy, by stuffing our tummies! As we didn't have anything in mind and it's our last meal in Bangkok, I guess a food court (food village) would be more suitable, as we would have more choices for local cuisine.

There were indeed quite a number of stalls and after going round the stalls twice, we zeroed in to two stalls; surprisingly, both were noodles, and one was even awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2019 and 2020.

Stir Fried Sukiyaki with Seafood from Maverick Sukiyaki - this was the Michelin Bib Gourmand one and it had six types of sukiyaki; differences in the meat like chicken, pork, seafood, mixed meat, beef and salmon.

When I am given a selection of meat choices, it's almost a given I would always go for seafood since it would be the most logical choice unless the price for it was comparatively a lot more exorbitantly priced.

I must say this was very good; the glass noodles was full of wok hei and had soaked in the sauce; resulting in a slurpy texture that were spicy yet so shiok! Maybe I should seek out more stir fried sukiyaki in Bangkok in the future!

Pad Thai with Seafood Extra Large Size - no idea what was the name of this stall but you would be drawn to the humongous plate of pad thai on display! I was famished and on the spur moment, I ordered and made payment.

Plate was obviously huge although I did note that the noodles filled up only about half of it. Nevertheless, carrying this around did draw some curious stares!

So what does into this pad thai? There were prawns, squids, mussels, dried oyster, crispy taro, hard boiled eggs, crispy wanton skin and beansprouts. For only about S$10, I thought this was pretty worth it and can feed between 2-3 persons.

Taste wise, obviously can't match Thipsamai, and a honestly a tad too sweet for my liking. Due to the seafood, there was the nice taste of the seas. Decent in my opinion; at least not a fail.

Crispy taros were surprisingly nice; crunchy and the rice crispies inside were not tasteless! Sweetness they were, and pretty addictive as a snack.

Pity we were too full to clean up everything!
