Tanjung Rhu Beach - Part of the Natasha Mangrove Tour @ Langkawi [Malaysia] #tanjungrhubeachlangkawi

Since we were already wet from the snorkeling at Dangli Island, Alif (our guide and skipper) must have thought that he might as well drop us off at another beach, which wasn't on the itinerary, since we still had plenty of time!

I wondered why he would let us disembark at the far end of the beach, where we had to jump into the water, but i figured out the reason later on.

The pretty view in front of us! I had in fact planned for a stopover at this same beach after the mangrove tour as i heard from a friend, before i made the trip, that this beach (by the name of tanjong rhu) would be worth a visit.

Notice the black sand? There's actually a black sand beach about 5 kilometers away that i had the intention to visit too although the reviews were not that encouraging; apparently, it wasn't totally black.

Seashells on the beach!

Strolling along the beach with the soothing sound of waves hitting the shore; compared to Cenang Beach, Tanjung Rhu Beach was way quieter, with a relaxed, chillax atmosphere.

Don't you think that the two smaller islands in the middle represent animals? Left one looks like a chicken whereas the right one appears more like half-submerged duck with its beak on the water surface! When it's super low tide, you can actually walk to both islands!

Back to the beach; not as much black sand now.

The two kids having a fun time on the beach; i am happy to be relegated to the role of photo-taking! Those who know me would be aware i prefer to take photos of others. p.s. i do take narcissistic photos of myself and you can find thousands of them on my mobile.

Pulau Kelam Baya; i initially thought this was Dangli Island but google map proves otherwise! I obviously enjoy the convenience of technology and nowadays, i use Google Map to plan my trip (you may refer to the one here that i made for my Hokkaido trip)!

Family having a day out. I was thinking of cropping out the other two humans in the background when i realised i had accidentally taken a shot of a topless lady! You wouldn't see much as the resolution for the above photo would be too low.

Look at that large swathe of sandy beach that's almost devoid of humans; and this was on a Sunday! Maybe because this area is relatively out of the way for most people but i needed to add that so long you have a car; it doesn't take much time to cover the whole of Langkawi!

Can't swim due to strong undercurrent; i am not into swimming anyway since i prefer a pool although i very much enjoy snorkeling; which had been a disappointment thus far.

Panorama - can't resist not taking one!

Commercial entities selling beachwear, accessories and offering tour packages (including mangrove tours given the close proximity to Kilim Geoforest Park.

Chillax by the beach with a bottle of beer on each hand!

More photographs for your viewing pleasure. If you are interested to spend a night or two at this beautiful beach, you can consider the nearby Tanjung Rhu Resort; the pricing is beyond my budget though.

Seems like a telecommunication tower.

Love the sun yet 'hate' the sun! That's what my mom would do although unlike the gentleman reading his book, my beloved mother would likely grumble about how hot it is and she is literally suffering while on holiday!

On our way back since there's nothing much for us to do and to be honest, we were a bit hungry and looking forward to having lunch at Scarborough Fish & Chips Restaurant.

Black sand again!

Less pristine part of the beach which would be near to where Alif had docked his boat and was patiently waiting for us. Actually, this job is something i would love to do when i am older.

Last post - no, there's no drink here!
