Okay, i admit i have slackened!
I was all motivated to try out all the competitors for Ramen Champion 2011 but as you could probably prove from the lack of related posts on my blog, i managed only three and before i could even press the "compete" button again, the championship was already over!!
On well, there is Ramen Champion 2012 and i shall take on one of the new entrants; Aoyama which has taken over the premises from Tetsu.
Without knowing what to have (it's a great pity that the stomach can only hold so much ramen), i pointed to the big appetising picture of Special Tonkotsu Ramen on the counter menu.
As far as ramen Cha Shu is concerned, this wasn't the melt-in-your-mouth kind that usually attracts a lot of positive comments. However, i enjoyed the unconventional way of grilling the cha shu right before serving, resulting in a smoky BBQ charr-ness well liked by many barbecue lovers.
The noodles were of the thinner type and after staying away from ramen for almost a year, i must say my taste buds were rather unaccustomed to the milky richness of pork bone broth!
Hunger prevails! And i cleaned up the bowl of flavourful ramen in mere minutes! Guess this has rekindled my love for ramen again; time to try out the rest!
