Sunset Dinner at Aonang Seafood Restaurant & Bar - Ao Nang, Krabi (Thailand)

Snorkeling is an exhausting activity and after meeting my quota for the day at Ko Hong, we decided to find a relaxed, chill out place to have dinner.

Against the backdrop of the setting sun, Aonang Seafood Restaurant & Bar looked like the perfect destination to satisfy my hunger. There are other restaurants with an equally dazzling view but we were really too tired to consider other options.

Although we failed to secure the first-class seats, it was still a nice picture ahead of us. Unlike us, most of the customers delighted in just having a couple of drinks and enjoying the sunset!

Once again, we ordered way too much food....

Mushroom Cream Soup
Merely the outlook should be sufficient enough to give a failed verdict. The soup was too salty and given a price tag that came up to be around S$6, they could do better than to serve us canned button mushrooms!

Shrimp Omelete
You could never go wrong with this order. There's only one slight problem; i don't remember biting any shrimps! *note, i was actually famished by then and could have swallowed them without chewing*

Sweet and Sour Chicken
What sweet and sour? I could have sworn that the chef had poured a whole bottle of ketchup onto the fried chicken. Overall edible, but barely.

Deep Fried Squid with Sweet and Sour Sauce
*cry* Don't get me started on the sweet and sour sauce again. The dish could have tasted much, much better if it's purely plain deep fried squid.

Seafood Hotplate
This was a preferable choice over the two aforementioned dishes.

A comprehensive mix that included fresh squid, oyster, mushrooms, prawns, apple, baby corn, cucumber, onions, carrots, tomatoes, capsicum etc; the sauce was palatable and totally met our expectations.

=====

For two persons, i am amazed we even managed to finish more than half. Alex is not a big eater so you can gather how much was really ingested by me.
