Once Again at Uncle Leong Seafood (龍海鲜螃蟹王) @ Punggol Promenade (Tebing Lane)

In celebration of mom's birthday, the Teo family has once again decided on a delicious, cholesterol-rich seafood meal at Uncle Leong Seafood! For those interested, you may read my first post on this popular restaurant HERE.

Let's spare you my usual long-winded nonsense and commence immediately with food. For readers who came to this post after a search on 'reservation', kindly wait till the end. Thank you for your understanding. :)

Guinness Pork Ribs
(黑啤酒排骨)
Damn i ordered the wrong one! Should have asked for the nescafe pork ribs since i wasn't too impressed with guinness pork ribs the last round. Although i have to add that they tasted better this time.

Chinese Spinach with Eggs
(三黄苋菜)
According to Kon, this is one vegetable dish he found to be relatively good in most places. As expected, it provided a refreshing taste mixture of plain, salted and century eggs and went well with plain rice.

Mee Goreng
(马来面)
The first plate was undercooked (noodles tasted too raw) and sent back to the kitchen. Though it was as hot and as spicy as my first visit, i thought it was more flavourful this time and in fact, good enough for me to have second helpings.

Salted Egg Crab
(咸蛋螃蟹)
This was as impressive as i remember! Even Kon, the person who introduced me to this cooking style, said it was better than all the others he tried before. Too short a review? Read HERE.

Claypot Crab Bee Hoon Soup
(砂煲螃蟹米粉汤)
A person who enjoys soup will definitely like this; so long he/she has no seafood allergy! The basic sweetness of fresh seafood is best served in this dish and each mouthful of that hot milky broth with thick bee hoon was plain, simple happiness.

Shimmering Sand Crab Delight
(金沙蟹)
One of the Uncle Leong's specialties, i remember it as being a drier version of butter crabs.

Having said that, my memory might be failing me because the gravy was actually not much lesser with a much thicker consistency as well! This makes eating so much messier, as evidenced by the above picture.

When faced with such sinful dressing, buns are always necessary to soak them up for that additional kick! However, do ask for piping hot buns!
