Mohu Mohu Cat Cafe near Lat Phrao MRT Station - Chillax with the Felines @ Bangkok [Thailand] #mohumohucafe #catcafesinbangkok

I have never been to any cat cafe in Singapore but it's amazing that in Bangkok alone; i had been to two cat cafes (Kitty Cat Cafe and Caturday Cafe) and Mohu Mohu Cafe, the subject today, was my third one.

Nestled in a private estate near Lat Phrao MRT Station; the 500-meter distance from the train station to the terrace house wasn't overly tedious although the walk under the scorching sun can be an irritant to those who dislike the heat!

Nevertheless, we made it to the "safe house", in one piece. Since we were walking along the road, it can be quite dangerous; so do keep a lookout for vehicles and also the occasional dog poo.

A decent animal cafe would have a sink outside so that you can sanitise your hands before stepping into the animal world. At the very minimal, a hand disinfectant would be provided.

I shall share the charges later and for now, let's go through the double door access.

One word to describe my first impression of the cafe; cozy. In fact, the atmosphere was too cozy (and overly quiet) for my liking! Immediately after i stepped in, i really just wanted to grab a pillow and have a good sleep.

A lower level is available for those who prefer seats over sitting cross legged on the ground level floor. I would love to have seats but there was a problem; no available table for us!

Sigh... no choice but to endure the coming numbness.

Time to order some food and drinks! There's a time charge for this cat cafe; 10 minutes for 15 baht on weekdays and on weekends, the rate increased to 20 baht. However, you can offset based on the amount paid for the food and drinks.

You technically can save on the food and drinks by helping yourself to the plain water and pay for the time charge instead; essentially a 30-minute stay on a weekday would only cost you 45 baht (about S$2.00).

Photos of the surrounding!

Introducing to you the twenty cats in Mohu Mohu Cafe; appended below their respective picture was a short profile, including their character / social traits / favourite activity.

The rules in Mohu Mohu Cafe; common in animal cafes although i did notice a strange one that mentioned not to feed the cats. Strange because since most business entities would allow you to do so by buying the treats from them!

Having treats are often the best way to entice the felines to come to you. In this case, i guess we would have to make do with the cat toys that were provided.

Upper levels were off-limit except for the washroom located on level two. Imagine being able to operate a similar animal cafe in a private bungalow in Singapore! Don't think it could be done though since such residences are usually designated for residential use only.

Food tray with dry kibbles for the resident cats.

I have written enough; time to show you the cats that we had the fortune to encounter that day. As i was in a lethargic mood that day, i didn't even remember checking to see how many cats were 'on duty' that day.

Most were happy to be napping and that kind of made me even sleepier. I actually started yawning and wishing i could sleep as comfortably as they were.

Compared to the felines in Kitty Cat Cafe and Caturday Cafe; the ones here at Mohu Mohu Cafe were less active. Even the customers were quieter and for a person accustomed to noise; i do find the place unexciting and a bit boring.

Whatever the case, some people do prefer such setting. Andy, for one, was happier brushing the cat's fur than listening to my constant loud, high-pitched yapping. Haha!

Even the cats appeared to be aware of my loud nature and were doing their best to ignore me; lest i took the opportunity to disturb their peaceful realm. :(

Siam T-Shirt (Hand-Made) - Eye-Catching Tops @ Chatuchak Weekend Market [Bangkok]

I don't really buy tee-shirts or tops when i am overseas but in the case of Bangkok, it's hard to resist when there are so many designs with a price tag that doesn't burn a hole in your pocket!

Thankfully, not many of them result in a good fit. Sometimes, however, the designs would catch my attention as the above store did with its display of couple tees.

Known simply as "Siam T-Shirt (Hand Made)", i don't think the material is handmade and believe the owner was referring to the designs being hand painted.

Frankly, i was drawn to the numerous tees that are of rainbow-themed. What would be your emotion when you see a rainbow in the sky? For me, i have always associated it with happiness. Hence, i can definitely relate with the above designs; sometimes in life, we have to let it be and it's always important to have a wonderful weekend.

Sizes go up to XXL and pricing was reasonable!

I am saving its address and contact below for ease of reference in the future. It can be a torment navigating Chatuchak Weekend Market without knowing the address!
