My Long Lost Piggy Banks & The Hearsay that S$1 Coins can Grant you a WISH

After almost two years, i finally found the secret box where i hid all my beloved piggy banks! Mind you, all of the above containers were fed to the brim and my favourite has to be the adorable flower pig!

Now, i bet many of you have heard of a popular rumour that the inclusion of a ba qua outline (a religious item used generally in Fengshui) within the Singapore $1 coin has the magical benefit to ward off Singapore's back luck and misfortune during the economic crisis in the 1980s.

However, has anyone heard of the following regarding the same one dollar coin?

Fill up your piggy bank with only S$1 coins (note: these coins must be sourced as part of a normal transaction where change is given and not exchanged via the bank counter) and once you ensure that nothing can go in, you can then make a wish and it will definitely be granted!

  3. Wow! You’ve collected a lot of S$1 dollar coins. What are you going to do with all those money you saved? Are you going to save them in the bank? If you’ll deposit them in the bank, I suggest you wrap them first. It’ll be easier to count if you wrap the coins. #Harriett Faulks

    1. Don't think i will save them in a bank! Since the S$1 coin is golden coloured, it is a joy to take everything out and behave as if i am holding on to a lot of golden coins! Delusional right?! haha
